Levy Mehlape, known as “LevaSoul SA” I’m a self-taught producer, Songwriter/BoloHouse Vocalist born on 11 February 1999 in Limpopo, Polokwane, South Africa living in a small village called Mentz Badimong.
I worked at Motionsense HD and Gateway FM as a Music Compiler/Producer. I started DJing at taverns and later got into music production. As a producer, I can do any style not limited to Afrotech, Afropop, BoloHouse, and Hip Hop. The favorite genre I work on the most is BoloHouse.
As we’re talking in early August by Ale Swane, LevaSoul tells me the single instantly changed his life and cemented his music career.
“The song was the greatest single I’ve ever been a part of. It has earned me a lot of respect on the streets, and encouraged me to work harder every day,” LevaSoul SA says in excitement.
Since then, LevaSoul SA never looked back. His endless drive and unfailing enthusiasm for beat-making made him one of the biggest producers Limpopo has ever had. Essentially, the Ngaka Yaka hitmaker is something of a rarity; quite different from most producers.
Prior to the release of Ale Swane, LevaSoul SA and his long-time music pal, MetStar DeVocalist The Paragon were invited to come and listen to the single at Master Chuza’s home studio.

Almost a decade ago, at the precocious age of 17, LevaSoul SA kick-started his music career. A novice beatmaker, whose given name is Levy Mehlape, says he spent innumerable hours watching tutorials on an online video-sharing platform.
“I used to watch YouTube tutorials on how to make a beat from conception to completion,” LevaSoul SA says. During his tenure as a producer, he managed to get thousands of viewers on YouTube and Gigs all over Limpopo.

Was he bothered by the rumors that he’s no longer doing music?
“Of course not. They didn’t bother me at all, because they were untrue. I personally took those comments—positive or negative—as motivations.” he said.
“I never give up, sometimes when life introduces new things to you, you are forced to take on other things,” clarifies LevaSoul SA to his fans. During his tenure as producer, he managed to get thousands of viewers on YouTube and Gigs all over Limpopo
Ngaka Yaka hitmaker, LevaSoul SA started making beats at the precocious age of 17 when he started calling himself “Troshka DeDJ”.
“The name Troshka DeDJ was the first one to try, I liked the name a lot, and where I didn’t know there was a person who is already more famous than me who goes by the name of Troshka DeDJ. One day he texted me asking me to stop calling myself by his stage name.
I didn’t want to fight, so I peacefully changed my stage name to LevaSoul SA” he says the reason why he changed the name Troshka DeDJ to LevaSoul SA.
Presently, LevaSoul SA is undoubtedly the greatest producer ever. The new businessman patted Master Chuza on the back for the significant contributions he’d had to his career. He then highlights that if it wasn’t for Master Chuza, he wouldn’t have been a BoloHouse beatmaker.
He shot to fame in 2020, and after then I got little-known as an independent beatmaker I shared a beat snippet on social media. The snippet went viral, and other upcoming artists started being interested in working with me.
I’ve worked with the following artists: Master Chuza, MedStar DeVocalist, DJ Nar, DJ Solvent, Viper SA, DJ Ice-Tee, Mr. Waves, King Bus, etc.
I took a break from music for about a year in 2021 due to life difficulties. I made it back in 2022 with multiple hit songs titled: Bamfetsa, Ngaka Yaka, Chomi, Call Back, and Lekunye) which are available on YouTube and some other digital platforms.
“When I joined Bomber Style, I was a Hip Hop, House, and Afro-Pop producer. To be honest with you, I didn’t expect myself to jump into BoloHouse music. I found the importance of growing Bolobedu House music at Bomber Style. Truthfully, being at Bomber Style was a great experience; that’s where I got some tactics on how to run things. For me, Bomber Style was a huge stepping stone.” he said.
LevaSoul SA Skills Have Got Him Wide Recognition As A Music Artist

There are numerous music artists who have gained major prominence in their area of work and are on their way to bagging the top position. However, a few have been fortunate enough to establish their presence within no time of their stepping into the music zone, and LevaSoul SA is one of them.
He has displayed his stupendously talented side as a music artist, which has helped him gain a prominent position similar to other established stars. His love for the music sphere has helped him take gain massive success, helping him reach a position where he can call the shots.
Speaking about his journey to date, LevaSoul SA says that it has been a tough journey, but the encouragement that he got for his talent helped him try harder till he reached where he wanted to.
His journey although had its own ups and downs didn’t dampen his spirits which led him to establish his career as a music artist who is recognized for his unique work. He says that an artist has to be focused and dedicated to his craft, as that’s what will help him go a long way.
He has been a part of numerous projects which have catapulted his popularity further. One of his recent releases, Ngaka Yaka popular music, gained wide popularity pushing his position as a music artist even further.
He says that he is working on various music projects which would see the light of day soon. Also, he is gearing up to team up with other popular music artists to bring out some interesting music that will amaze the audiences.
